SOULFUL AMERICANA FROM THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST

ABOUT JAMES

James Coates grew up in a small town, and that sense of community is reflected by the sonic tapestry, like tight rhythm sections and brassy horns, that make up his latest release One Last Ride. The album was celebrated with a headlining performance at the Triple Door in Seattle and was supported by a slew of festival and club dates throughout Washington and Oregon.

In the past, Coates has toured nationally, opened for artists like Sheryl Crow, headlined at Nashville's Bluebird Café, received airplay on KEXP and been featured in Seattle Weekly. On stage, him and his band connect with inspiring original songs and entertain with a slew of surprising, unexpected covers. The band are currently booking for 2024.
